After six new traffic lights were installed at the end of last month, Bacolod City now has a total 25 traffic lights in operation.
According to a report compiled by Bacolod Traffic Authority Office (BTAO) head, Police Superintendent Luisito Acebuche, the new traffic lights have been “tested and fine-tuned.”
He noted, timers will be programmed based on traffic flow and volume.
Based on a release from the city government, five of the new lights were placed at the intersections of Araneta Street-Alijis Road, Gonzaga Extension-Circumferential Road/La Palmas, Hilado-6th Streets, Lopez Jaena-Gonzaga Streets, and Abuanan-Sum-ag Roads.
