A 70th minute header by Ceres-Negros FC striker Patrick Reichelt salvaged a 1-1 draw against JPV Marikina FC over the weekend at the Biñan Football Stadium in Laguna.
After both clubs failed to score in the first half, JPV forward Ryuki Kozawa broke the deadlock in the 58th minute. With Reichelt’s effort later equalizing, the two settled for a 1-1 draw.
However, just before the final whistle, Ceres FC midfielder Manny Ott was stretchered off the pitch after reportedly getting elbowed during a throw in.
According to the club’s Twitter account, the midfielder was later discharged following multiple tests. They noted swelling had reduced and there were no immediate signs of vision problems or concussion.
Final test results are due out later today.
Ceres returns to the pitch on Wednesday, June 6, when they face Davao Aguilas FC at the Panaad./JSG, WDJ
