At least P180,000 worth of suspected shabu was confiscated by the City Drug Enforcement Unit (CDEU) late Wednesday evening after they conducted a buy-bust operation at Purok Katilingban in Barangay Alijis, Bacolod City.

Police identified the arrested suspects as 46-year-old Joey Oñate, 37-year-old Rona Santillan, and 31-year-old Nejie Geavia.

CDEU team leader, Police Inspector Adrian James Albaytar, said the suspects were reportedly involved with selling illegal drugs to students in Barangay Alijis.

Albaytar said they moved in on the suspects after Oñate sold one sachet of suspected shabu to an undercover cop, in exchange for P1,000.

The suspects are presently detained at Police Station 7 and face illegal drugs charges./DGB, WDJ
