Capitol approves P8B investment plan, P12B infrastructure program

P935M cleared for ‘infrastructure services’

 

The Provincial Development Council (PDC), presided over by Negros Occidental Governor Alfredo Marañon, Jr., yesterday approved an P8 billion annual investment plan for 2019 with just over P4.3 billion earmarked for social services.

Other sectors with over P1 billion allotted include nearly P1.5 billion for economic development and around P1.8 billion for institutional development.

Additionally, P12 billion was also approved for 2019 Negros Occidental Tourism Road Infrastructure Projects (TRIP).

Meanwhile, the annual investment plan also includes over P935 million for “infrastructure services.”

Also present at the meeting were Negros Occidental Vice Governor Eugenio Jose Lacson; Provincial Board Member Salvador Escalante, Jr.; Provincial Planning and Development Coordinator, Dr. Ma Lina Sanogal; several mayors; government agency representatives; among others./WDJ
