The Aklan Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) Serbilis Center reported an average of 911 transactions were conducted daily between May 1 and 28 this year, up from the 631 reported during the same period last year.
“We are trying to catch up with the demands of our clients,” said Provincial Statistics Officer Antonet Catubuan.
She noted, personnel assigned to the center can cater to around 400 customers per day; however, with the current influx, they are accommodating for more than double the capacity.
Among the documents processed by the center include birth, marriage, and death certificates; along with certificate of no marriage and marriage advisory certificates.
Catubuan noted, documentation requests typical increase because of enrollment, employment, examination applications, international travel, marriage, and updating police records./WDJ
