Two suspected drug personalities were collared after Kabankalan City Police Station anti-drug operatives conducted a buy-bust operation yesterday morning at Purok Uhaw in the city’s Barangay 4.

Police identified the suspects as 37-year-old Leah Jimenez, the primary subject of the operation and resident of Tayum Street, located in the said barangay; and 21-year-old Benjamen Abadiano, also a resident of the said barangay.

Kabankalan City deputy police chief, Police Senior Inspector Jerald Muya, said they arrested the suspects after Jimenez sold one small sachet of suspected shabu to a police poseur buyer.

A search of the suspects further yielded two big and 10 small sachets of suspected shabu, valued at P40,000; suspected drug money amounting to P955; drug paraphernalia; and the subject’s mobile phone.

Both suspects are presently detained at the Kabankalan City Police Station and face illegal drugs charges./DGB, WDJ
