A total of 26 families that have been impacted by recent fire incidents received financial assistance from the Iloilo City government earlier this week at City Hall.

“We know how hard it is for you to cope with your situation,” said Iloilo City Mayor Jose Espinosa III. “The recovery process is not easy.”

P7,000 was distributed to each fire victim whose home was totally damaged, while P5,000 was provided for those with partially damaged homes.

Recipients were from the Lapuz, Jaro, and La Paz districts of Iloilo City./WDJ
