Negros Occidental High School (NOHS) Principal Mario Amaca recently encouraged participation in the ongoing Brigada Eskwela, the annual practice of preparing schools for the upcoming school year.
“Let us all help each other for the sake of our students,” he said.
According to a release, an estimated 4,000 to 5,000 students, parents, parent-teacher association (PTA) members, PTA officials, national government agencies, and private partners are expected to take part in the activity, which runs until Saturday, June 2.
The Department of Education recently released the official calendar for the 2018-2019 academic year, which indicated classes officially open on Monday, June 4.
Amaca also suggested donations, including cash; seedlings; and supplies, such as chalk and paint./WDJ
