At least six people were arrested by Police Station 10 (PS10) personnel after they were caught carrying weapons yesterday morning at Purok Narra in Barangay Handumanan, Bacolod City.
Police identified the suspects as Reymar Costan; Remegio Costa; and four minors aged between 16 and 17 years old, whom police did not identify.
PS10 commander, Police Chief Inspector Charles Gever, said police responded to a report claiming the suspects were creating a disturbance in the area.
Gever said the six suspects were part of local group, nicknamed ‘Pamilya 45.’
The police commander said the group is constantly roaming the barangay looking to pick fights with other groups.
During the arrest, police recovered several improvised firearms, including a shotgun and three pin guns. Cops also recovered a butterfly-knife from one of the suspects.
Following the arrest, Gever said he hopes the area becomes more peaceful, pointing out they have been receiving numerous complaints from local residents regarding the group.
He added, police will be conducting further investigations on other groups in the area allegedly engaged in criminal activity.
The two suspects are detained at PS10, while the minors were turned over the city’s Social Development Center./DGB, WDJ
