The Bacolod City Tourism Office (CTO) confirmed around 207,000 tourists arrived in Bacolod City during the first quarter of 2018.

According to records, 21,000 were foreign nationals.

Last month, it was reported Negros Occidental, including Bacolod City, remained the second most popular province in the Western Visayas, behind Aklan, home to currently-shuttered resort island Boracay.

Department of Tourism-Region VI data showed the province and the city had a combined 1.72 million tourist arrivals, roughly 29 percent of the region’s total visitors, last year./DGB, WDJ
