Pontevedra Municipal Police Station investigators are still without leads in last weekend’s shooting of Barangay General Malvar Kagawad Salvacion Samson.

In a radio interview yesterday morning, Pontevedra municipal police chief, Police Senior Inspector Ryan Salazar, said investigators are still gathering information in order to determine a motive.

He also confirmed scene of the crime operatives recovered several slugs from a .45 caliber pistol from the crime scene; and determined the gunmen immediately fled following the incident and sped off on a motorcycle.

Last Saturday, Samson was reported to have been on her mobile phone when gunmen entered her house and opened fire, killing the kagawad on the spot.

The victim’s live-in partner, meanwhile, was unable to provide details into the murder, noting, the victim did not have any prior confrontations with her fellow barangay kagawads./DGB, WDJ
