ESJ Fyre Fyter, Supreme ABF force semifinal deciders

The ongoing Negros Basketball Association President’s Cup semifinals are going to deciders after ESJ Fyre Fyter and Supreme ABF-Silver Graces Construction defeated their opponents over the weekend at the Bacolod Tay Tung High School gym.

ESJ Fyre Fyter defeated Red House Taiwan Shabu Shabu/The University of Negros Occidental-Recoletos, 73-63; while Supreme ABF-Silver Graces Construction beat Colegio Sta. Ana de Victorias (CSAV), 85-77.

ESJ Fyre Fyter began their game with a 23-13 lead, which was later cut to two-points at the half, 34-32.

The eventual winners managed to pull away in the second half, leading 52-44 going into the final quarter, and holding on for victory.

John Nermal led the ESJ Fyre Fyter with 25 points, followed by Kobe Vizcarra adding 18 and Renz Solomon scoring 15.

In the other game, Frederick Ngoh Elombi led Supreme ABF with 22 points, followed by Errol Doromal with 21 and Bill Geolingo contributing 20.

Despite the loss, Jeffrey Manday scored 26 for CSAV.

Their semifinal matches are scheduled for Saturday, June 2./JSG, WDJ
