At least three Bacolod City barangay captains are running for Association of Barangay Captains (ABC) president, following the conclusion of the recent barangay elections.

The candidates include incumbent ABC President, Barangay Tangub Captain Noli Villarosa; Barangay 15 Captain Anjo Ayco; and Barangay Singcang-Airport Captain Rosinie Distrito.

Distrito is believed to have been fielded by local political coalition, Grupo Progreso, which is headed by Bacolod City Mayor Evelio Leonardia.

Villarosa, meanwhile, is confident he will retain the position, pointing out 18 barangay captains have already pledged their support for him./DGB, WDJ
