The newly-elected Negros Occidental Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) chairpersons are scheduled to vote for a new SK federation head.

Negros Occidental Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Director Carmelo Orbista said SK chairpersons in every city and municipality in the province will gather next month for the election.

Orbista confirmed they have wrapped up the mandatory training for all SK officials, where they were taught how to transcribe minutes for their regular sessions and create resolutions.

The DILG hosted the training at the University of Negros Occidental-Recoletos.

In addition, the training came with a P1,600 registration fee, which could be paid through the barangay’s SK fund./DGB, WDJ
