The Iloilo City Public Employment Service Office (PESO) has a job fair planned next month, June 1, at the Iloilo Provincial Capitol, which will reportedly offer 33,000 job vacancies for both local and overseas positions.

“We are also bringing in relevant government agencies in the area to assist our job seekers in their employment concerns,” said Iloilo City PESO chief Francisco T. Heler, Jr.

Among the industries said to be seeking workers includes manufacturing, retail, construction, call centers, banking, hotels, restaurants, skilled workers, household workers, among others.

Heler also pointed out other services will be provided.

“We have free seminars at Casa Real de Iloilo (the Old Iloilo Provincial Capitol) during the event,” he said. “These are a pre-employment orientation, tourism awareness seminar, basic entrepreneurship training, and forum on emerging agriculture.”

Applicants are requested to bring copies of their resume; pertinent documents such as school records, training and employment certificates; and passports for those looking to work overseas./WDJ
