Bacolod City Mayor Evelio Leonardia inducted the first batch of Bacolod City Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) officials earlier this week at the University of Negros Occidental-Recoletos (UNO-R).

Another batch was sworn-in yesterday.

The new community officials began attending the required training, conducted by the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG), yesterday at UNO-R.

Bacolod City DILG Director Ma. Joy Maredith Madayag earlier explained the training will inform SK officials of their obligations.

In addition, the training came with a P1,600 registration fee, which could be paid through the barangay’s SK fund./WDJ
