One of two suspected motorcycle-riding robbers was arrested yesterday morning following hot-pursuit operations conducted by Police Station 6 (PS6) at the San Dionisio Subdivision in Barangay Granada, Bacolod City.

Police identified the arrested suspect as Mark Deo, a resident of the said area; while his companion, Rosendo Enema of Barangay Handumanan, managed to flee.

Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO) spokesperson, Police Senior Inspector Armilyn Vargas, said prior to the operation, the suspects allegedly held two individuals at knifepoint along 5th Road at the Puentebella Subdivision in Barangay Taculing.

The victims reported the incident to PS6, which organized a hot-pursuit operation, resulting in Deo’s arrest.

Police recovered the motorcycle reportedly used in the robbery, as well as the victims’ bags, wallets, mobile phones, and cash.

Deo is now detained at PS6 and faces robbery charges, while a manhunt operation against Enema is ongoing./DGB, WDJ
