Several local media personalities elected

Several local media personalities were elected into office following the barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) elections, which were held on Monday.

Based on official results released by the Commission on Elections yesterday morning, Eric Magbanua, popularly known as ‘Aksyon Eric’ of Aksyon Radyo-Bacolod, was elected kagawad in Barangay Pahanocoy.

Meanwhile, Radyo Bandera Sweet FM anchor Eljohn Castaño was re-elected Barangay Granada kagawad and Engr. Ronnie Albao, also of Radyo Bandera, was elected kagawad in Barangay 35.

Meanwhile, among aspirants who failed to earn posts in their respective communities include Aksyon Radyo-Bacolod reporter John Dale Salazar in Barangay Alijis; Radyo Bandera anchor Babes Gantalao in Barangay Banago; Kirby Federez of Radyo Bandera in Barangay 41; Edmund Aspero in Barangay 16; along with RMN DYHB-Bacolod reporter Grace Supe in Barangay Antipolo, Pontevedra.

In addition, former Watchmen Daily Journal reporter Neska Centina fell short in her bid for Barangay Sum-ag SK chair.

As of press time, however, it has yet to be confirmed if Hernan Garceniego of Visayan Daily Star was elected Barangay Mansilingan kagawad./DGB, WDJ
