The Iloilo City Audit Transition Team (ICATT), which seeks to ensure the systematic transition of barangay property, financial records, and documents, is scheduled to complete their assessment by June 2.

“The city government came up with ICATT to help their inventory teams in ensuring that barangay funds and properties were well utilized,” explained Iloilo City Mayor Jose Espinosa III.

According to Assistant City Accountant Cynthia Trespeses, between April 27 and May 4, a total of 27 barangays completed their audit.

“We’re now working on ways on how to reach more barangays so we can finish before June 2,” she noted./WDJ
