San Carlos City is currently competing in the #WeLoveCities campaign, an event conducted by the World Wildlife Fund (WWF), which is looking for the 2018 Most Lovable and Sustainable City in the world. The Negros Occidental city was named fourth more lovable city in 2016.

The San Carlos City Environment Management Office is urging social media users to post photos, videos, or tweets focused on what they love about San Carlos City on Instagram or Twitter platforms using the hashtag #welovesancarlosph.

To vote, users can like and comment on the City Environment Management Office Facebook page or visit welovecities.org/ san-carlos/.

Other Philippine cities in the running include Makati City and Pasig City.
