The Police Regional Office 6 (PRO-6) affirmed “everything is ready” for today’s barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) elections.

“Our men are ready to secure the polling precincts,” said PRO-6 director, Police Chief Superintendent Cesar Hawthorne Binag.

According to the law enforcement official, 8,511 police officers have already been deployed.

He also pointed out the contribution to the security effort by the Philippine Army.

“Hundreds of soldiers have been deployed,” Binag added.

He noted, the military will help secure polling precincts, transport ballots, and provide security for election officials.

The PRO-6 chief said an inspection will take place Monday morning to ensure all police personnel are at their assigned location./WDJ
