During the recent anniversary celebration for the Philippine Army 3rd Infantry Division (3ID), Capiz Governor Antonio del Rosario suggested the military camp, located in Jamindan, should be considered a tourist destination.

He called the location “enchantingly beautiful” and pointed out the camp is the “third-largest military reservation in the country.”

The camp occupies over 33,310 hectares, which includes a wildlife sanctuary and is home to five waterfalls.

Through Presidential Proclamation No. 67, former President Diosdado Macapagal reserved land in the towns of Jamindan and Tapaz for military purposes. Tapaz is home to the Philippine Army 61st Infantry Battalion./WDJ
