Basecom, Royal Star Trading win in Class B

Basecom recently defeated Organic Solutions, 78-76, in the first round of Class B eliminations in the ongoing Fil-Sino All Asian Countertrade, Inc. (AACI) Conference Inter-Company Basketball Tournament at the Bacolod Tay Tung High School gym; meanwhile, Royal Star Trading defeated Silver Dragon Transport, 65-49.

Organic Solutions took a narrow 39-37 lead at the half, which they expanded to 62-55 heading into the final period.

However, Basecom managed to rally, including eight points from Police Superintendent Adonis Rosales and six from Mar Macainan, and pulled out a win.

Macainan led the victory with 19 points, followed by Rosales with 16, Roger Montalbo – 12, and Rodolfo Sabio – 10.

In the other game, Kevin Camato led Royal Star Trading with 17 points./JSG, WDJ
