The Iloilo City Police Office (ICPO) recently reported a 28.4 percent drop in criminal incidents between January and April as compared to the same period last year. A total of 2,508 incidents were reported, a drop from the 3,503 recorded in the previous year.
“One of the factors [into] why there is a decrease was due to maximum police visibility, wherein 90 percent of our force [is] up for deployment and roving,” explained ICPO operations chief, Police Superintendent Jowel Saliba.
“We are conducting assessments every week to analyze the effectivity of our deployment,” the ICPO official added./WDJ
