Two suspected drug personalities were arrested following a late Tuesday evening buy-bust operation along Burgos Street in Barangay 6, San Carlos City, Negros Occidental.

Police identified the arrested suspects as 37-year-old Carlo Castillo and 64-year-old Augusto Bantolinao, both residents of the said area and presently tagged as local drug personalities.

San Carlos City police chief, Police Superintendent D’Artagnan Katalbas, Jr., said they arrested both suspects after Castillo handed one sachet of suspected shabu to a police poseur buyer, in exchange for P1,000.

A search of both suspects recovered a total five more sachets of suspected shabu in different sizes, drug paraphernalia, and P60 worth of suspected drug proceeds.

Katalbas added, they also recovered a .38 caliber revolver with four units of live ammunition.

He estimated the market value of the seized drugs to be P48,000.

Both suspects are detained at San Carlos City Police Station./DGB, WDJ
