A delegation of officials from Mabalacat City, Pampanga were recently hosted to a welcome dinner at the Nature’s Village Resort in Talisay City by Negros Occidental Governor Alfredo Marañon, Jr. and Vice Governor Eugenio Jose Lacson, who noted there is a lot that can be learned from Pampanga.

The vice governor pointed out, there are many similarities between the two provinces, particularly in agriculture, saying, “Negrenses have a lot to learn from Pampanga.”

The group is currently in the province as part of ongoing sisterhood relation obligations between Pampanga and Negros Occidental.

The delegation has since made visits to the Mambukal Mountain Resort in Murcia; The Ruins and the Campuestohan Highland Resort in Talisay City; among other sites.

The group earlier met with Bacolod City officials, where it was revealed they were looking at the Bacolod City Government Center as an example for the planned construction of their city hall.

Mabalacat City Vice Mayor Christian Halili said he was “impressed” by the facility.

The city official also noted he is hoping to sign a sisterhood pact between his city and Bacolod City and Silay City, adding he already has a verbal agreement from Silay City Mayor Mark Golez./DGB, WDJ
