Himamaylan City’s eighth-most wanted street-level drug target was arrested early Thursday morning following a buy-bust operation at Purok 1 in the city’s Barangay Sara-et.

Police identified the suspect as 40-year-old Leslie Valeriano, a resident of the said area.

Himamaylan City police chief, Police Chief Inspector Antonio Benitez, Jr., said Valeriano is also a wanted drug target in neighboring Binalbagan.

Police moved in after the suspect handed one sachet of suspected shabu to a police poseur buyer in exchange for P500.

A search of the suspect further yielded three sachets of suspected shabu, drug paraphernalia, a weighing scale, and a list of recent illegal drug transactions.

The value of the seized alleged illegal drugs is around P2,500.

Valeriano faces illegal drugs charges and is detained at the Himamaylan City Police Station./DGB, WDJ
