A female minor died following a drowning incident late Sunday afternoon at a club house swimming pool in Talisay City, Negros Occidental.

Police identified the fatality as 14-year-old Sheila Mae Dela Cruz, a resident of Barangay Zone 12-A in the said city.

Talisay City police said the victim was swimming at the Carmela Valley subdivision when, around 5:45 p.m., Dela Cruz reportedly drowned.

The victim was rushed to the Corazon Locsin Montelibano Memorial Regional Hospital for treatment, but was later declared dead by doctors./DGB, WDJ
