One La Salle takes title

One La Salle recently won the 3rd Negros Occidental Football Association (NOFA) Under-13 Invitational Cup at the Sta. Maria Football Field in Talisay City after defeating Dynamic FC, 1-0, in the final.

The lone goal was scored in the opening minute of the match by Lucas Sebastiano Andan.

“They played their game,” said One La Salle coach Dave Tudence. “Our players made lots of sacrifices to win this tournament.”

The winning team was comprised of players from La Salle Green Hills and De La Salle Santiago Zobel School.

One La Salle midfielder was named “Most Valuable Player” and “Best Midfielder,” while his teammate Viggo Louis Herce was named “Best Defender.” Meanwhile, Dynamic FC’s Ashley Sacapano was named “Best Goalkeeper;” and Kian Clent Catoto of Green Global and Almagne Kurt Sarip of the Mt. Apo Regional Football Association shared “Best Striker” honors after each scored 15 goals in the tournament./WDJ
