We need to be in top shape –Azkals Manager

Following the recent 2019 AFC Asian Cup draw, resulting in the Philippine men’s national football team, the Azkals, landing in Group C, alongside South Korea, China, and Kyrgyzstan, Azkals team manager Dan Palami admitted to Watchmen Daily Journal, Group C is a “tough” one.

“We need to be in top shape,” he said. “We need to look at players who could shore up our existing complement.”

A total of 24 teams qualified for the 2019 AFC Asian Cup, an expansion from the typical 16-team format.

The competition is set to take place next year, from January 5 to February 1, in the United Arab Emirates./JSG, WDJ
