The National Youth Commission recently reminded the public of certain regulations during the ongoing election period for the upcoming May 14 barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) elections.

In terms of security, along with the ongoing gun ban, candidates are also prohibited from utilizing bodyguards. The policy also bars coercing, threatening, intimidating, or terrorizing election officials as they perform their duties.

Regulations also touch upon political matters, including the prohibition of suspending incumbent officials and making adjustments to existing precincts, along with the creation of new precincts.

The election period began on April 14 and will close on May 21./WDJ
