Himamaylan Mayor Agustin Bascon recently revealed construction of the P1 billion road connecting Himamaylan City in Negros Occidental and Tayasan in Negros Oriental will break ground in June.

“If you travel to Bais City in Negros Oriental en route Kabankalan City, it will take you an hour and a half but, with this road, it will only take you 30 minutes,” he said.

The road is expected to run for 35 kilometers, with seven connecting bridges as part of the overall project.

Bascon believes the project will benefit city residents./JSG, WDJ
