A drunk man was allegedly mauled by unidentified bystanders last Wednesday in Barangay Minoyan, Murcia, Negros Occidental.

Police identified the victim as 47-year-old Agosto Villar, a resident of the said area.

According to the victim’s mother, who reported the incident to police, Villar was heavily intoxicated when he was assaulted by several bystanders.

Villar was rushed to the Corazon Locsin Montelibano Memorial Regional Hospital after sustaining two black eyes in the mauling.

Police, meanwhile, are presently probing the identities of the suspects./DGB, WDJ
