San Carlos City police seized P240,000 worth of suspected shabu after conducting a raid late Sunday evening at Locsin Parola in Barangay 6, San Carlos City, Negros Occidental.

Police identified the suspect as 45-year-old Marcela Theresa Batusin, a local drug personality and resident of the said area.

San Carlos City police chief, Police Superintendent D’Artagnan Katalbas, said Batusin was arrested after she handed over one small sachet of suspected shabu in exchange for P1,000.

A search of her residence further yielded one small and four medium-sized sachets of suspected shabu, weighing around 20 grams.

Batusin is currently detained at the San Carlos City Police Station on illegal drugs charges./DGB, WDJ
