The silver anniversary celebration of the Panaad sa Negros Festival was a tremendous success. Thousands visited the different city and municipality booths, featuring locales from San Carlos City in the north to Hinoba-an in the south. Among the most attractive booths were from Sagay City; Talisay City; Silay City; La Castellana; Bago City, which featured the city’s waterfalls; among others. The Marikina City festival is similar as it featured various city barangays, which replicated famous festivals from across the country, including Dinagyang, MassKara, Sinulog, and other celebrations.
Food tourism was at an all-time high at the festival with an abundance of talaba (oysters), shrimp, varieties of fish, vegetables, and other crops.
Entertainment was also a big attraction for the millennials… and the “feeling millennial.”
Congratulations to those who made this year’s Panaad sa Negros Festival a resounding success and (most importantly) to the event’s corporate and business sponsors.

Tomorrow, April 25, Negrenses are asked to come out and support Ceres-Negros FC when they play Home United FC of Singapore at the Panaad Park and Stadium.
Kudos to Ceres FC owner Leo Rey Yanson for putting Bacolod City, Negros Occidental, and the Philippines on the world football map.

The brand news roll-on/roll-off vessels shuttle passengers between Iloilo and the Banago Port safely and pleasurably. Travel time may be about two hours, but the cleanliness and security compensates for it. Other vessels need to improve their sanitation standards, particularly with their toilet facilities, an important part of travel.
