Negros Occidental Provincial Planning and Development Coordinator, Dr. Ma Lina Sanogal, hailed the recent Panaad sa Negros Festival, which celebrated its 25th anniversary this year, a success. She credited the peace and order of the event, adding there are plans of making the festival a year-round celebration.
“We are planning to make Panaad a year-round destination,” she revealed.
The provincial official said permanent structures for the organic market, bamboo village, and livestock center are under construction, along with the transfer of a zoo and relevant facilities.
Meanwhile, the provincial government revealed an increase in total earnings this year.
The most recent sales figures showed total sales of P25,922,820.10, up from last year’s total of around P18.5 million.
Sanogal projected the sales figure to continue to increase despite the festival closing over the weekend./DGB, WDJ
