Silay City, Cadiz City win folk dance competition

Silay City recently won the rural category of the Panaad sa Negros Festival Philippine Folk Dance Competition, while Cadiz City captured the Maria Clara category.

The rural category winner won P40,000 and was also awarded “Best in Costume,” “Best in Performance,” and “Best Trainer.” Meanwhile, the Maria Clara category winner took home P50,000 and was named “Best in Costume” and “Best in Performance.”

Silay City won with a performance of Sakuting, while Cadiz City presented Sinakiki.
