A security guard was wounded after two brothers allegedly assaulted and nearly hacked him late Wednesday night at a subdivision located in Barangay Taculing, Bacolod City.
Police identified the victim as 21-year-old Michael Benteroso, a city resident employed as a guard for the Rosario Height Subdivision.
Records by Police Station 6 (PS6) said, while Benteroso was working inside the guardhouse, he was attacked by 42-year-old Noel Amodia and his brother, 41-year-old Christian Amodia, both residents of the said subdivision.
During the scuffle, the two allegedly pulled out a bolo and tried to hack Benteroso, who managed to evade the strike, which hit the guardhouse.
The scuffle was eventually broken up by several bystanders and the suspects fled.
The guard, meanwhile, incurred a wound to his left hand and immediately reported the incident to PS6./DGB, WDJ
