A newly-identified drug personality was arrested by Cadiz City police in a buy-bust operation early yesterday morning at Hacienda Nabinay in Barangay Daga, Cadiz City, Negros Occidental.

Police identified the suspect as 25-year-old John Rey Vargas, a resident of the said barangay.

Cadiz City police chief, Police Chief Inspector Rocky Desear, said they arrested Vargas after he handed one elongated sachet of suspected shabu to an undercover cop in exchange for P500.

A search of the suspect further yielded four elongated sachets of suspected shabu, with a street value of P3,500.

Vargas is facing illegal drugs charges and is detained at the Cadiz City Police Station./DGB, WDJ
