During the recent Philippine League of Local Environment and Natural Resources Officer (PLLENRO) National Convention, which took place in Davao City, Cadiz City and Kabankalan City were both recognized for environmental practices.

The Cadiz City Environment and Natural Resources Office was highlighted for its weekly barangay cleaning program; while Kabankalan City was noted for its Upland Greening Initiative, which seeks to speed up greening efforts and conserve flora and fauna.

“We would like to encourage every community or barangay to be [at] the forefront in the preservation and management of their respective areas,” said Cadiz CENRO Florentino Caceres, who thanked the organization on behalf of the city./WDJ
