Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO) director, Police Senior Superintendent Francisco Ebreo, recently expressed his confidence in the leadership capabilities of incoming Philippine National Police (PNP) director, current National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) chief, Police Director Oscar Albayalde.
In an interview with Watchmen Daily Journal, Ebreo called Albayalde a “strict, no nonsense police official” and said he knows how to lead the PNP efficiently.
The city police chief also affirmed Albayalde always enforces the rules and regulations of the PNP within his chain of command.
With the recent salary hikes received by PNP personnel, Ebreo said Albayalde will enforce discipline and accountability within the PNP’s ranks, adding the public’s view of police has changed to that of “Superman.”
Last week, President Rodrigo Duterte revealed Albayalde will succeed PNP Director General Ronald Dela Rosa.
Dela Rosa is set to retire this month and will be appointed as the next head of the Bureau of Corrections./DGB, WDJ
