Capiz opens its 117th founding anniversary celebration today, April 13.
According to the Department of Tourism-Region VI (DOT-6), the festival, which is set to run throughout the weekend, will highlight local hospitality, creativity, and cultural identity.
Among the activities expected for the observance include a shooting event, motorcycle rally, cock fighting derby, job fair, among others.
The Mutya ng Halaran sa Capiztahan will also be held, along with the Wings of Hope Foundation Concert for a Cause featuring Aegis and Seeds of Soul.
“Capiz has something more to offer with its diverse culture and heritage,” said DOT-6 director, Atty. Helen J. Catalbas. “We encourage our visitors and residents of other provinces to visit Capiz and experience [a] ‘seafood’ festival like no other.”/WDJ
