A visitor from Tigbauan, Iloilo drowned in a river last Sunday at Hacienda Tabayag in Talisay City’s Barangay Dos Hermanas, Negros Occidental.
Police identified the fatality as 37-year-old Joven Cabading.
Talisay City police said Cabading, along with friends Mark Quilaton and Gildo Serencio, both from Bacolod City, were drinking when Cabading left the group.
When the victim failed to return after two hours, Quilaton and Serencio began looking for Cabading and found him unconscious and floating in the river.
The victim was rushed to the city’s health office, where he was declared dead on arrival by medical staff./DGB, WDJ
