The Children of God Blood Kin of the Christ Church, or the Simbahang Anak ng Diyos Kadugo Ni Kristo (AND KNK), and a group of lawyers are calling themselves the Lawyers Instructed by the Gospel on Holiness and Truth (LIGHT) appealed to television networks to be more judicious when it comes to the programs they air.
The group wants to prevent Filipinos from reducing – of losing altogether – their belief in God.
One such example are programs that feature witch doctors and their supposed ability to interchange souls, allowing for the deceased to live in the body of a living person. In the Christian faith – which I am certain is the faith espoused by the owners of the aforementioned companies – there is no many who can transfer souls to other bodies. That kind of power, if possible, belongs only to Jesus – God and Savior; God, the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
Only God can perform great miracles
With more serious Bible study, people will learn some are gifted with the power of magic, or great miracles, that others have not been blessed with. However, this power cannot prevail against God.
This was shown in the story of Moses and the miracles he performed (by the power of God) to compel the king of Egypt to allow the nation of Israel to leave and worship their God.
In the first tragedies God sent, magicians and sorcerers, in service to the king, managed to duplicate what God has done through Moses. It was the curse of those gnats, which came from dust, where the king’s people were unable to produce their own version – they were forced to admit the gnats were “the handwork of God.”
Subsequently, they were unsuccessful in replicating the more serious plagues sent by God.
Programs enticing people away from God must be stopped
Prophecy from the Bible claims many will abandon their faith in God and would instead obey deceptive teachings, indicating the direction of evil is already underway. As a consequence, during the end of times (where we are right now), many will turn to sin through their thoughts, speech, action, and appearance.
There is only one person happy with this, the devil. This enables him to bring many to hell.
Considering this, all believers must act and obey God’s commandments, snatch away those destined for hell, and no believer must claim they have nothing to do with the work of “snatching away” – God knows their heart and would punish them accordingly.
The question is simple: How can believers snatch away those destined for hell if people continue to receive deceptive teachings through television, radio, newspaper, and the internet? The media must endeavor to stop airing material that encourages audiences to drift away from God.
