10 competing for this year’s Negros Pop Songwriting Competition

A total of 10 entries will compete in this year’s Negros Pop Songwriting Competition, a part of the annual Panaad sa Negros Festival, which will take place on April 15 at 6:00 p.m. at the Panaad Stadium.

The finalists come from across Negros Occidental, including Cadiz City, Silay City, Kabankalan City, La Carlota City, Bacolod City, Calatrava, Toboso, and Pontevedra.

According to Negros Pop Songwriting Competition Coordinator Evijane Viñas, the competition seeks to inspire songwriters to develop and promote Negrense music.

First place will receive P20,000 and a trophy.

Consolation prizes will also be awarded./WDJ
