“Education in basic life support and first aid is very important for the community,” said Iloilo City Mayor Jose Espinosa III. “The public should know what to do during emergency situations.”

Among those expected to participate in the trainings include barangay tanods and health workers, youth sector representatives, and Barangay Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (BDRRMC) members.

Trainings begin next month, from May 3 to 4, with the first batch comprised of Jaro District Barangays Ungka, Buhang, Lanit, Tacas, Bito-on, Tabuc Suba, Dungon A, and Dungon B; and Arevalo District Barangays Sto. Domingo, Dulonan, Mohon, Sooc, and Yulo Drive./WDJ
