At least 54 Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO) police officers underwent a seminar yesterday to become deputies for the Land Transportation Office (LTO).

In a radio interview, BCPO Deputy Director for Administration, Police Superintendent Victorino Romanillos, Jr., said the group was comprised of traffic investigators, station commanders, the Traffic Management Unit (TMU), and the City Mobile Group and Mobile Patrol Unit.

Romanillos pointed out the seminar is a “big help” since it would grant officers the power to apprehend bad and abusive motorists by allowing them to confiscate driver’s licenses.

The BCPO official added he hopes the deputation helps minimize the worsening traffic condition in the city.

Romanillos also appealed for city motorists to respect traffic regulations./DGB, WDJ
