At least three people were wounded following a rumble late Sunday afternoon between rival groups at Purok Mangga in Barangay Punta Taytay, Bacolod City.
Police refused to identify the victims and the suspects as a majority of them are reported to be minors.
Police Station 9 (PS9) commander, Police Senior Inspector Elmer Bonilla, said the scuffle between the two groups erupted after a 17-year-old suspect confronted the victim with an improvised firearm for “looking at him.”
The suspect then accidentally triggered the improvised firearm, hitting the victim in the torso, resulting in a fight.
Members of opposing groups tried to break up the scuffle and rushed the wounded to the Corazon Locsin Montelibano Memorial Regional Hospital (CLMMRH) for treatment.
PS9 is presently investigating the motive behind the incident./DGB, WDJ
