A 44-year-old laborer was killed after he was stabbed late Sunday afternoon during a heated argument at Purok Kulisap in Barangay Ma-ao, Bago City.
Police identified the fatality as Vic Camelo Juanillo, a resident of the said area.
Based on investigations by Bago City police, Juanillo was inside the residence of the suspect, 37-year-old Mark Patubo, discussing work.
However, Juanillo reportedly engaged in an argument with the suspect’s father, Norberto, where the suspect went inside the residence and demanded the victim to leave.
When Juanillo left the residence shouting, the younger Patubo chased down the victim, where a scuffle ensued.
Patubo allegedly drew a bladed weapon and stabbed Juanillo several times.
Juanillo was rushed to the city’s district hospital, where he was declared dead on arrival.
Meanwhile, responding personnel from the local Community Police Action Center arrested younger Patubo, who remains detained at the Bago City Police Station and could face murder charges./DGB, WDJ
