Mayor inaugurates P5M CHO lying-in, birthing home center

Bacolod City Mayor Evelio Leonardia recently led the inauguration of the newly-refurbished Bacolod City Lying-In and Birthing Home Center at the City Health Office (CHO) compound.

“Everything is supposed to improve in Bacolod,” said the mayor. “I’m meticulous in making the [Bacolod City Government Center] look good, because our service should also look good.”

According to City Health Officer Ma. Carmela Gensoli, the center underwent improvements in 2017 worth P5 million.

Fr. Tomas Rito led the blessing of the facility.

Also in attendance were Bacolod City Councilor Em Ang; Mark Steven Mayo, who represented Bacolod City Lone District Rep. Greg Gasataya; along with CHO management, personnel, and staff./WDJ
